SGE x Tsubasa

The combination of Tsubasa, celebrated in street football and rap, and Eintracht Frankfurt, with its long tradition of Japanese stars, was a perfect fit. The release even made waves in the mainstream media, which usually pays little attention to the sports merchandising industry—covered by everyone from "Sport1" and "FUMS" to "BILD."

Celo & Abdi call themselves the "FC Nankatsu of German rap." Supporting the promotion of our "Eintracht Frankfurt x Tsubasa Edition" was a matter close to the hearts of the two Frankfurt rap legends and avowed Tsubasa fans.

HSV x Tsubasa

Similar, yet different, was the collaboration with Hamburger SV the following year. The background for this additional Tsubasa capsule was HSV's appearance in the original manga and anime. The club's successes in the 80s evidently made Japanese author Yoichi Takahashi famous. In our HSV Edition, we feature the players who represent the sports club in the series.
